The lookout is located only 800 meters along the gravel path that is Dockside Rd extending out into Hobson Bay, which is the northernmost part of Port Phillip Bay in Melbourne, Australia. Visitors to Sandridge Lookout can conveniently take a train to Southern Cross Station and then take the 109 tram towards Port Melbourne. The tram stops at the corner of Graham and Clark Streets, and from there, visitors can easily walk to the lookout point. Alternatively, visitors can take a taxi or drive to the lookout, which has a car park nearby.
