The Rockhampton Botanic Gardens are a must-see destination for families and nature lovers alike.
Dating back to over 150 years ago, this public garden is open every day from 6am to 6pm and is absolutely free to enter. Within the gardens, you'll find the Rockhampton Zoo, home to over 50 species of animals from Australia and around the world. After a day of exploring the gardens, you can relax and enjoy a meal or refreshment at the Gardens Tearooms, nestled beneath the Banyan Figs. You can also take a peaceful stroll through the Japanese Gardens or pay your respects at the Cenotaph, honouring our Australian soldiers.
