If you're looking to surf or learn how to surf, Saltwater and Wallabi Point beaches are ideal. Their surf breaks and swells are perfect for surfers of all skill levels. The waves are usually bigger here in the winter months (June to August) but are still manageable for beginners, while in summer (December to February) the waves are generally smaller but good for casual surfers.

Saltwater and Wallabi Point beaches are also an excellent choice for families, with a warm, shallow saltwater lagoon nestled against the picnic reserve providing excellent swimming opportunities for all ages in Khappinghat Creek.

If fishing is what you love, you won't be disappointed with the direct ocean boat launch in the area. You can enjoy a spot of beach fishing or take a boat out to net yourself some of the best catches in the area.

The beaches of Saltwater and Wallabi Point are popular all year round, but the best time to visit would be from December to February, when the weather is warm and comfortable.
