Description

Located just ten minutes off the highway, Cookies Beach Picnic Area offers visitors a serene escape into nature.

As you enjoy your picnic, you can relish in the stunning views of the beach and possibly catch a glimpse of the eastern grey kangaroos basking in the sun. The southern headland offers some of the area's best highlights, including the picturesque and calm waters of the beach.

Cookies Beach is a long and stunning beach that offers easy access to water for boats of all types. It is also relatively uncrowded, making it an ideal location for relaxing and soaking in the sun. The water is shallow and slopes gently out for at least 100 meters from the shore with few changes in depth, creating a perfect platform for novice swimmers and boarders. To the south of the beach, near the rocks and boat ramp, the curve of the bay makes it quite sheltered. If you are a surfer, you can find small swell down the north end of the beach. Cookies Beach also has great rocks to explore, and it is an ideal destination for families with children. Recently, the beach has had some seaweed, but it does not diminish from its pristine beauty.

Cookies Beach enjoys moderate temperatures throughout the year, with October to April being the best months to visit. During these months, the temperatures are high and perfect for outdoor activities like picnics and swimming. June to August is the best time for whale watching, but it can get quite chilly.

Cookies Beach is located at Bayandah Street, South Durras, Eurobodalla, New South Wales, 2536. You can get there by either driving, taking a cab or calling a ride-share service. It is about a ten-minute
