The Seaway Dive Site Southport is the most popular shore diving spot in Queensland, located at the mouth of the Nerang River.

Divers can explore the Short Pipe and Sand Pipe area, which is the easiest and most accessible diving spot. The site offers a mesmerizing underwater experience with a wide range of fish species, including trevally, mulloway, gropers, moray eels, turtles, stingrays, wobbegongs, stonefish, scorpionfish, and other tropical fish. Unique species like sea horses, cuttlefish, pineapplefish, nudibranchs, dragonets, anglerfish, velvetfish, and pipefish can also be found here. The dive site reaches a depth of up to 15 meters.

The Seaway Dive Site is accessible year-round, but the best time to dive is from April to November. During this period, water temperatures range from 19°C to 22°C, and visibility can reach up to 15 meters.

It is a 45-minute drive from Brisbane's city center and is conveniently located near major tourist areas on the Gold Coast. Divers can park at Doug Jennings Park and find facilities such as washrooms, showers, and cafes nearby. Alternatively, dive charters from Gold Coast and Brisbane can take you to the site.
