Last Night of the Proms (expired event)

It’s time to dust off the tiaras and reach for the pearls as Auckland Symphony Orchestra brings the Best of British to life this winter with two iconic performances of Last Night of the Proms.

From the regal notes of processional music to those much-loved television tunes and of course rousing anthems such ‘Jerusalem’ and ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone, this programme of time-honoured favourites featuring the sounds of England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland is bound to take you on a musical journey to all parts of the United Kingdom in an unforgettable evening at Takapuna’s Bruce Mason Centre.

With a cast of over 100 performers, led by conductor Emma Featherstone, and joined by Harbour Voices, vocal soloists, pipe band and highland dancers, the Auckland Symphony Orchestra will delight with a programme filled with nostalgia and plenty of fun.
