Description

Talia Caves, located on Talia Beach, 40 km north-west of Elliston, is a natural wonder that offers breathtaking scenery and unique caves for visitors to explore.

The area is known for its excellent fishing and surfing spots.

Before reaching Talia Beach, visitors can explore two interesting sites 40 km northwest of Elliston. The Woolshed is a large cavern carved into the granite cliff by wave action, offering a perfect spot for capturing outstanding photographs. The Tub, on the other hand, is a large crater in the cliff with a tunnel connection to the sea, providing an adventurous climb down into the crater and snorkeling opportunities.

The main attraction at Talia Caves is exploring the caves themselves, which have been formed through wind and water erosion. These caves feature unique formations of various sizes and are home to various marine animals and sea life, making it an ideal spot for nature enthusiasts, explorers, and photographers.

Talia Caves also offers 20 bush camping sites, although visitors should note that there are no toilets or water available, so it is important to come fully equipped with all necessary items.

The best time to visit Talia Caves is during the summer months (December - February) when the weather is mild and the ocean temperatures are warmer. To get to Talia Caves, visitors can drive through the Flinders Highway B100 until the Talia Caves Road appears, then drive west towards Talia Beach. Car hire services and guided tours are also available from nearby towns.
