Get ready for a three-kilometer loop walk in the eastern section of the Judbarra/Gregory National Park.

The Escarpment Walk Timber Creek leads you through the soaring red escarpments of the Victoria River Valley. Along the way, you can witness panoramic views of the valley and its surroundings. The walk also takes you through the ancient tales of the Nungali-Ngaliwurru and Wardaman communities, showcasing the creation of the fantastic landscape through interpretive signs.

The walk takes you through a breathtaking journey of the Victoria River Valley, highlighting the unique features of the National Park. As you ascend up the hill and follow one magnificent view to the next, the Garrarnawun Lookout awaits you. Here, you can take a break and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the escarpments' panoramic views. The route is steep in areas, so it is recommended to take this rest point. A moderate level of fitness is needed to take on this particular walk. Additionally, the walk takes you through important Indigenous cultural heritage sites with interpretive signs to deepen your knowledge of the region's history.

The Escarpment Walk Timber Creek is open year-round. From October to April, the walk is accessible, though it is advised to be mindful of any weather warnings or road closures.
