Julius River Rainforest Walk is a beautiful travel destination located in Trowutta, Tasmania.

The walk offers visitors an opportunity to explore two main trails which are the Rainforest Walk and the longer coastal walk to Church Rocks. The Rainforest Walk is a popular 0.5-mile loop trail that takes approximately 13 minutes to complete, and visitors can enjoy the lush green scenery and the tranquil sounds of the river during their walk.

Julius River Rainforest Walk provides visitors with an unforgettable experience of Tasmania's natural beauty. The walk offers an opportunity to witness the Tasmanian rainforest, which is home to numerous species of plants and animals, including the endangered Tasmanian Devil. Walking through thick greenery, visitors can see the Julius River, which has been known to host platypus sightings. Moreover, the trail leads walkers to the rocky coastal area for a scenic view of the Wreck Bay coastline.

The best time to visit Julius River Rainforest Walk is during the summer months (December - February). At this time of year, the weather is mild, and rainfall is low. To get to Julius River Rainforest Walk, visitors can drive from Smithton on Scotchtown Rd (C217) until they hit Trowutta Rd (B22, turning into C218). The car park is accessible from the main road, and the parking area has an excellent picnicking/barbecue area and toilets.

In addition to Julius River Rainforest Walk, visitors can explore another nearby attraction of Trowutta Arch State Reserve. It can be reached by driving from the walk carpark down a rough gravel road and is a beautiful 5 km
