The Lions Junction Park, also known as "The Junction", is a beautiful and peaceful park located at the junction of the Goobarragandra and Tumut Rivers, conveniently located just a few minutes away from the centre of Tumut.

This family-friendly park is perfect for picnicking, relaxing, and enjoying the picturesque clear rivers that offer various outdoor activities.

The beautiful Goobarragandra River is popular for swimming in the summer months, offering a refreshing escape from the heat. The Tumut River, known for its fast-flowing water is the perfect place to launch your kayak or canoe and paddle downstream to the Riverglade Caravan Park in Tumut. Visitors can also enjoy some of the best trout fishing in the region during the trout season.

Birdwatchers can make a day of the park, as they can find a variety of birds in the area, including kingfishers, dollarbirds, robins, water birds, rosellas, parrots, cockatoos, finches, robins and fairywrens. Along with the more common kookaburras, magpies, ravens, and crows, magpie larks and willie wagtails that are just about always visible in the region.

The Lions Junction Park is an all-year-round destination. The autumn season is a great time for bird watchers, with many species migrating into the region.
