It was established in 1982 under very old SA blue gums and is maintained by volunteers. The reserve is situated opposite Urimbirra Wildlife Park and is about 5 km from the city center. One of the main features of Nangawooka Flora Reserve is the beautiful collection of Australian native plants, including many rare and endangered species. There are several walking trails that wind through the garden, allowing visitors to explore the different sections of the reserve. The reserve also has a picnic and gazebo area, making it a great spot for a family outing or a relaxing lunch break. The picnic area is shaded by large trees and provides a lovely view of the garden. There are also toilet facilities available on site. It is a great spot for a family outing or a relaxing day trip.
