This unique Gippsland attraction is the only historic coal mine experience in the Southern Hemisphere. Explore the tunnels of this former coal mine, where hard-working miners once drilled and chipped for coal in the 1900s. Take a guided tour led by Parks Victoria staff and volunteers with a personal connection to the mine, including some retired miners. Entry to the site is free, with above-ground attractions still open, although underground tours are currently suspended due to maintenance works.
