Description

Cruice Park Woodford is a convenient overnight stop for travelers, situated just 4km NW of Woodford, Queensland on Kilcoy Beerwah Road.

It offers free unlimited overnight camping with a maximum stay limit of 20 hours. The park is popular among families and welcomes large rigs. Pets are allowed but must stay at least 15 meters away from the children's playground.

The park provides all necessary facilities for campers and caravanners. The amenities block is well-maintained and recently updated. Visitors can enjoy the shade of large trees, good mobile phone service, and television reception. The camping area has ample parking for large vehicles and rigs, as well as toilet facilities with disability access and bins. Children can enjoy playground equipment with natural shading and several picnic tables, some of which are undercover.

In addition to its camping amenities, Cruice Park is home to the Ludwig Leichhardt Memorial. Ludwig Leichhardt was a renowned explorer of Northern and Central Australia and is considered a national hero. He used the Archer brothers' station 'Durundur' as a base for his explorations of south-east Queensland. The park also features the Durundur Station Memorial, a sandstone monument honoring the Archer brothers, who were early settlers in Queensland. Durundur Station became a popular stop for miners heading to the Gympie Gold Fields.

Cruice Park can get quite busy during the Woodford Folk Festival, held annually in December and January. It is a perfect spot for travelers to stop over and revitalize on their journey through the Moreton Bay Region. To reach the park, travel 4km west of Woodford Township along Kilcoy-Beerwah Road.
