The trail features several historical buildings, including Bungala House, Post Office, Council Chambers, Yankalilla Hotel, Yankalilla Institute, Christ Church, Wissanger School, Normanville Wesleyan Church, John Fowler's Cottage, Normanville Hotel, Fergusson's Mill, The Court House, Mary Mackillop school house, St. Peter's Church, and Yankalilla Uniting Church. Visitors can explore these buildings and learn about the rich history of the region. The trail takes about 2-3 hours to complete, and visitors can also stop at antique and curio shops along the way.
