The park is open all year round and is only 10 minutes from Dargaville.

Baylys Beach Holiday Park offers a variety of activities for its guests, including coastal walks, surfing, surf casting, horse trekking, and playing a round of golf at the local Northern Wairoa 19-hole golf course. Golf clubs are available for hire. The park also has a volleyball and petanque court, play areas, and pets are allowed by arrangement.

The standard cabins are budget accommodation with beds only, while the motels and ensuite cabins have basic facilities and the benefits of privacy and your own bathroom.
