Description

Bermagui Coastal Walk is an 18-kilometre scenic walk that takes visitors along the clean sands and crystal waters of secluded beaches and through natural bushland where they can admire the local birdlife, fauna, and flora.

The walk extends from Cuttagee Beach in the south to Wallaga Lake in the north, covering a vast area of magnificent coastal scenery with the majestic Gulaga Mountain as the backdrop.

The walk offers a refreshing and picturesque adventure with plenty of activities along the way. Take in the breathtaking views from the lookouts located at Murunna Point, Bermagui Point, Dickinson Point Headland, and the Blue Pool. Visitors can paddle in the safe shallow waters of Wallaga Lake and Cuttagee Lake, or marvel at the amazing rock formations of Camel Rock and Horse Head Rock, believed to be around 450 million years old. The walk winds along coastal bushland, sandy beaches, nature reserves, and Bermagui village.

Stop and take a rest in Bermagui township located approximately halfway along the walk, where visitors can enjoy a wonderful selection of eateries found along Lamont Street and surrounds, and at the Bermagui Fishermen's Wharf on the edge of Bermagui Harbour.

Bermagui Coastal Walk can be undertaken at any time of the year.
