Description

Located on Chapman Road in Glebe, Bicentennial Park (Glebe) is a part of the larger Glebe Foreshore Parks area.

Boasting 17 hectares, the park is a playground paradise for adults and children alike.

Bicentennial Park has a wide variety of features and activities suitable for visitors of all ages. The park has several playgrounds, including the Jubilee Playground, which boasts newer equipment than the fenced Bicentennial Playground. The Blackwattle Bay Playground, located at the base of Leichhardt Street, is the smallest of the three playgrounds. The fenced Bicentennial Playground has abundant shade thanks to a variety of sails, while Jubilee Playground is not enclosed but provides plenty of shade thanks to its large trees, including an enormous fig tree.

If you're planning a picnic, Bicentennial Park has numerous grassy areas throughout the park with picnic shelters and barbeque facilities. The park also has sports fields, wetlands, paths, off-leash areas, and open grassed areas. You can also take a walk along the Glebe Foreshore Walk which connects Bicentennial and Jubilee Park to the Sydney Fish Market, offering great views of the Anzac Bridge, and a stop at Blackwattle Bay Park, where there is a little playground, along the way.

Bicentennial Park is open all year round, and visitors can enjoy the park at any time, making it an ideal location for picnics and outdoor fun with friends and family.

Visitors to Bicentennial Park have a variety of transportation options. If you are traveling by public transport, the Jubilee Park light rail station is only a short
