Bingie Beach North

Bingie Beach North Bingie is a stunning expanse of beaches with strong surfing breaks.

Located at the northern end of a long exposed beach, it extends southward for around 4kms and ends at Coila Lake and Tuross Head. The beaches are not patrolled and feature strong rips and currents, making them ideal for experienced surfers. The area is rich in cultural and historical significance for the traditional Aboriginal custodians of the land.

As you explore the Bingie Bingie Point, you can discover hidden evidence of shell middens, stone working areas, and quarries that have strong links to Aboriginal culture. Meanwhile, Mullimburra Point, composed of resilient 400 million-year-old granite, offers a unique rock collection featuring granite and diorite rocks and black volcanic basalt. Visitors can take advantage of the stunning photo opportunities available from this area encompassing four beaches - one on the north side and three south, all located in the national park.

The best time to visit Bingie Beach North Bingie is during the warm summer months from December to February. It's relatively easy to travel to the beach during this season, although it can be busy. Outside of the peak season, the beach is less crowded and perfect for those who like to enjoy a quieter seaside environment.

The Bingie Beach North Bingie area is accessible by car from Moruya or Batemans Bay. Visitors can take the Princes Highway, turn into George Bass Drive, and follow the coast. Travellers can reach Narooma, a nearby coastal town, via coach or rail services. They can rent a vehicle or take a taxi service to reach the beach area.
