Description
Birthday Creek Falls Paluma is a beautiful 20-meter cascading slab waterfall located in Paluma Range National Park, Queensland, Australia.
The hike to the falls trail is a 1-kilometer moderate track through the rainforest, classified as Grade 2. Along the track, birdwatchers can spot golden and tooth-billed bowerbirds. The clear waters of Birthday Creek are great for swimming and picnicking. To get there, take Mount Spec Road and then turn onto Paluma Dam Road. It is important to bring plenty of water, snacks, long sleeves, long trousers, a first aid kit, insect repellent, a raincoat, torch, tissues, and a phone. There is a sign near the waterfall warning about submerged rocks, and swimming is only allowed in the small pool, not at the falls themselves. The rocks can be slippery when wet, so caution is advised newline.
