Description

Located on the corner of Booran and Glenhuntly Roads in Glen Huntly, Booran Reserve is an award-winning park and playground that has been dubbed the best playground in Melbourne by locals and visitors alike.

This impressive 1.6-hectare playground was built using more than 99% of materials from the decommissioned Caulfield Service Reservoir, a sustainable approach to construction that highlights the commitment to environmental preservation by the City of Glen Eira council.

Whether you're looking for a place to relax on the grass, go for a walk, or enjoy a social gathering with friends, Booran Reserve is the perfect destination for all kinds of visitors. Kids of all ages can spend hours exploring the park's various play areas, which feature innovative equipment such as water pumps, fountains, and sculptures that represent the life cycle of frogs. The park includes a wide range of facilities that cater to all ages and abilities, including a HUGE 10-metre high double dome rope climbing net that leads to a long slide, multiple slides and climbing walls, horizontal climbing ropes, swings, an oversized mouse wheel, Dutch disc spinner, and in-ground trampolines. An oversized concrete water pipe tunnel and a dual flying fox with all-abilities access seat are some of the favorite features among kids.

If you're looking for a more relaxed experience, you can explore the perimeter of the park, where you'll find a wall of artworks depicting the story of water in a local context, from the tale of Tiddalik the Frog, and Indigenous people's connection to the land to the development of water infrastructure in Melbourne. You can stop and read details of the art and artist while catching your breath after a few laps around the expansive
