Boundary Road Reserve

Boundary Road Reserve Bathurst is a community-managed land restoration project located on the edge of the city, just five minutes away from the Bathurst CBD.

Accessible via the Vietnam Veteran’s Park off Boundary Road, this 80-hectare reserve is a great example of community-led land management. It offers a relaxed atmosphere and is home to many rare and endangered species, making it an important conservation area.

Visitors to Boundary Road Reserve can expect to see a diverse range of flora and fauna, including over 90 species of birds and kangaroos. Walking trails are available for those who want to explore the area and experience its natural beauty. Wildlife photography enthusiasts will also find plenty of opportunities to capture the animals that inhabit the reserve.

The reserve is open from dawn till dusk every day of the year, and the best time to visit is in the early morning or late afternoon when the birdlife is most active and the lighting is ideal for photography.

To get to Boundary Road Reserve Bathurst, visitors can go to the Vietnam Veteran’s Park off Boundary Road. There is a parking area and a well-marked entrance to the reserve from there.
