Description

Creative Schools is an innovative program that reimagines the WA curriculum through creative projects, fostering student engagement and wellbeing.

What is Creative Schools?

Creative Schools is a learning program developed by FORM that uses creative teaching and learning strategies to cultivate student agency, as well as engage students in the Western Australian curriculum, the General Capabilities and the Five Habits of Learning: being imaginative, inquisitive, collaborative, persistent and self-disciplined .

How does it work?

The program pairs teachers with creative practitioners to rethink the WA curriculum over 16 weeks, using creativity to teach various subjects. Throughout the year, participants receive training and support from experts and engage in networking and workshops to enhance their teaching methods.

Why is it so important?

Education works best when students are actively engaged in their own learning and take part in school life. Creativity helps them develop essential skills like questioning, problem-solving, and collaborating, which are crucial for their future success and for positively impacting their communities.
