Cronulla State Park Kurnell is a must-visit destination in Southern Sydney, offering a stunning 18.2km walk from Cronulla train station to Kurnell.

The walk north from Cronulla offers opportunities to spot migrating whales, seabirds, and other local wildlife. At Boat Harbour Park, visitors can enjoy driving on the beach with an $8 daily permit. This location is perfect for picnics, setting up tents, having a BBQ, or engaging in other beach activities.

Kamay Botany Bay National Park allows visitors to explore British and Aboriginal history along the walking track. It commemorates Captain James Cook's landing in 1770 and the burial site of Forby Sutherland, the first British subject to die in Australia. Monuments and exhibits dedicated to notable figures like botanist Joseph Banks and scientist Daniel Carl Solander can also be found along the Monument Track. It is recommended to bring your own supplies, as there are no places to buy food or drinks north of Wanda Beach.
