Daisy Hill Conservation Park and Koala Centre

Daisy Hill Conservation Park is a 570-hectare open eucalyptus forest located in the southern suburbs of Brisbane.

It offers a variety of recreational activities and is a significant habitat for koalas and other wildlife. The park is an ideal nature retreat for visitors of all ages.

The Daisy Hill Koala Centre, built by the Queensland Government, is a dedicated koala education facility within the park. It provides an opportunity to learn about koalas and their conservation while getting up close to them. Admission to the centre is free, and it is wheelchair accessible.

At the Daisy Hill Koala Centre, visitors can witness koalas from two different viewing boardwalks. Koala keeper talks are held daily at 2 pm, during which fresh eucalyptus leaves are provided for the resident koalas. Visitors can learn about koalas' daily life cycle, their biology and ecosystem, and the symptoms of sick and injured koalas. The centre also features informative displays, a Woodland Theatre for short films, and information about the life cycle of eucalyptus trees.

The Daisy Hill Koala Centre and the Daisy Hill Conservation Park are open throughout the year, except for Good Friday, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. The koala centre operates from Monday to Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm, while the park has varying opening hours depending on the season.

For groups larger than 20, bookings are required to visit the Daisy Hill Koala Centre. Group bookings for schools or community groups are free. The park is conveniently accessible by road, approximately 25 km southeast of Brisbane City or 50 km north of the Gold Coast via the Pacific Motorway (M1
