Discovery Lodge

Discovery Lodge is a friendly complex located in Whakapapa Village, New Zealand, surrounded by alpine meadows and the Tongariro National Park.

The accommodation is suitable for all budgets, offering fully self-contained motels and chalets, powered camper sites, budget camping huts, and "back to nature" camping. The rooms are comfortable and equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The lodge is the only tourist lodging in the park to give a panoramic view of three active volcanoes.

The lodge also runs its own shuttle to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, arriving just before 6 am.

On-site amenities include a fully licensed bar and a guest lounge with sundeck. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, and packed lunches are available on request.
