This cemetery, located in Dunwich, Queensland, is a place of remembrance for the 8,500+ inmates of the Dunwich Benevolent Asylum, its history stretching back as far as 1847.
It is a reminder of the early days of European settlement in the area, and still has a special place in the hearts of the local Island residents.
