After years of bumper broccoli crops, imported Sassafras local, Rob Nichols was easily convinced by his family to diversify and plant a somewhat different crop. A bottle of wine may have been involved…
The first vines were planted in 2018 on a patch of otherwise unproductive land on the property tended by Rob and Sue Nichols. The vineyard sits atop a rocky outcrop looking across Eastford Creek and out at the prime fertile agricultural land of the North West Coast. The wine has been hand-crafted in small batches on-site by their award-winning wine maker, whose high standards ensure you only get the best there is to offer. A love of the land and the history of the location is evident in the re-imagining of the on-site Granary and Pumpkin Sheds into the cellar door and weddings and events spaces with a rustic feeling which connects to the heritage and beauty of the landscape.
