Description

Eden Rotary Lookout is a must-visit destination in the town of Eden.

This easily accessible lookout offers spectacular views across the entire southern section of Twofold Bay. It is rightly considered one of the premier land-based whale-watching locations on the Sapphire Coast and in the whole of New South Wales.

Eden Rotary Lookout is especially popular for whale watching during the spring months. At this time, humpback whales come into the bay to rest, nurse, and feed on their journey to Antarctica. Notably, this is one of the only places along the coast where this behavior occurs. This makes Eden Rotary Lookout a unique location for whale watching, and you surely don't want to miss the stunning sights of these magnificent creatures up close.

From the lookout, visitors can also enjoy the stunning views of Boyd's Tower, which is a prominent landmark and an icon of Ben Boyd National Park. The tower can be seen standing proud on the opposite headland across the bay. And as you take in the breathtaking views from the lookout, you'll appreciate the untouched beauty of the natural surroundings.

There are plenty of facilities available at Eden Rotary Lookout, making it an ideal place for families to visit. The location features free gas barbecues, picnic facilities, amenities, and a children's playground. You can look forward to the perfect day out with the family, enjoying a picnic lunch while taking in the stunning views.

Eden Rotary Lookout also features the 1.5km Rotary Walk along the headland. This walk takes visitors through a beautiful coastal pine forest and tea tree tunnels. As you walk along the trail, you'll encounter elevated vantage points, offering stunning panoramic views of the bay. Additionally, you can explore
