Folding Hill Wines: A Handcrafted Pinot Noir Experience
Folding Hill Wines is a boutique winery located in the charming town of Bendigo, Central Otago, New Zealand.
Established in 2003, by Tim and Nikki Kerruish in collaboration with Anne Charlesworth, this winery is famous for crafting outstanding Pinot Noir wines.
The Vineyard
The vineyard is spread over an area of four hectares, with Pinot Noir vines as the sole source of grapes. The vineyard is managed sustainably, ensuring that the grapes are grown organically with minimal environmental impact. Viticultural services are provided by James Dicey and his experienced staff at Grape Vision, renowned for their expertise in Pinot Noir production.
Winemaking Philosophy
Folding Hill Wines follows a traditional approach to winemaking, influenced by the practices of the 'Old World.' Carefully selected Pinot Noir clones and rootstocks are used to produce wines that reflect the terroir, with complexity, flavor, balance, and length. There are no added chemicals or preservatives in the wine, ensuring customers receive pure and natural wine.
Wine Experience
Folding Hill Wines offers a unique wine tasting experience, where visitors can taste all the wines in their collection. Customers can try the two Folding Hill Pinot Noirs, which are a true reflection of the vineyard's terroir. In addition to wine tasting, the winery offers winery tours, where customers can learn about the winemaking process and history of the vineyard.
