Description

The Fossil picnic area is situated on the eastern bank where you can admire the view or go for a walk along the Irwin River.

Ancient marine fossils can be seen south of the car park in the cliff on the other side of the river. Take care when walking or wading across the river. The fossil site can also be accessed by foot from River Bend.

Coal seams can be seen in the cliffs north of the car park. Please do not disturb any fossils or coal seams, leave them there for others to enjoy.
