Georges River National Park is a 1,270-acre protected Australian National Park managed by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
It is located southwest of Sydney's city centre and is divided into 15 sectors along the riverbanks of the Georges River. The park offers various recreational activities such as bushwalking, picnics, barbeques, boating, fishing, and water/jet skiing.
The park's main entrance is off Henry Lawson Drive at Revesby Heights, providing access to walking tracks, swimming areas, and picnic locations. Revesby Beach is a popular swimming spot on the Georges River, but visitors should be cautious of bull sharks in the water. The East Hills District Men's Shed Association is located within the park and offers activities like engineering, woodwork, stained glass making, and leather working.
There are several walking tracks in the park, including the Ridge Walking Track, which is a 3.2-kilometre circuit, and the Yeramba Lagoon Loop Walking Track, a 1.8-kilometre trail known for birdwatching. The park also has picnic areas such as Burrawang Reach Picnic Area, located near Little Salt Pan creek and Morgan's creek, and Morgan Creeks Picnic Area, which is popular for fishing, jet skiing, and boating.
Georges River National Park is predominantly situated on Hawkesbury sandstone, with some areas containing Mittagong sandstone. The park's highest point is at Mill Creek, and the river flowing through the park is 96km long.
