Description

The Glow Worm Caves in Tamborine Mountain, Queensland, are a popular tourist attraction known for their unique glow worm population.

These manmade caves offer educational tours for visitors. Completed in 2004, the caves introduced glow worms in September of that year and opened to visitors in March 2005. Designed in a naturalistic style, the caves feature stalactites, stalagmites, and flowstone features. Visitors can explore the caves and witness the mesmerizing sight of thousands of glowing glow worms during a 30-minute tour. This unique attraction also allows visitors to see glow worms during the day, which is a rare experience. The Tamborine Mountain Glow Worm Caves provide a naturalistic setting to observe the fascinating glow worm population and offer an opportunity to learn about their life cycle and behavior.
