Greaves Reserve

Greaves Reserve Dandenong is a multi-purpose reserve located off Bennet Street in Dandenong.

It features extensive native bushland, revegetation sites, and is home to the Dandenong Show. The reserve offers various sporting clubs and facilities for visitors of all ages and interests, including basketball and netball courts, cricket nets, fitness equipment, a pavilion, playground, rugby and soccer fields, tennis courts, and walking/cycling trails.

The Greater Dandenong City Council has released a community consultation draft master plan for Greaves Reserve. This plan has been informed by previous master plans and aims to enhance the visitor experience. Proposed upgrades include more recreational activities, improved roads and parking areas, new walking paths, joining the Djerring Trail, improved sporting facilities, new infrastructure, enhanced landscaping, and improved park facilities.

The council is seeking community feedback on the draft master plan and encourages the public to attend Park Drop-In Sessions or provide feedback via email or phone. While Greaves Reserve is open year-round, November is an ideal time to visit due to the agricultural show. Visitors can easily reach the reserve by car, bus, or train, with free parking available. The reserve is approximately a 10-minute drive from Dandenong Railway Station, and there is a bus stop nearby.
