Greenmount Beach features everything visitors need to enjoy a comfortable and fun-filled day by the sea. The beach is watched over by the Tweed Heads & Coolangatta Surf Life Saving Club and the Greenmount Beach Surf Club. Facilities include restrooms, showers, picnic areas, and BBQs.

Greenmount Beach is protected by shark nets to ensure the safety of swimmers and surfers. While the risk of a shark attack is low, visitors should always check shark warnings and be mindful of their surroundings. In September 2020, a man was fatally bitten by a shark while surfing in the area.

Did you know that Greenmount Beach was named after the Greenmount Guest House? The Guest House was established by Patrick J Fagan in 1905, who named it after his birthplace in County Meath, Ireland. The beach was later named after the Guest House. Today, Greenmount Beach remains a popular destination for travelers and locals alike.
