Grey Sands

Grey Sands is a small, family owned vineyard in the Tamar Valley, Northern Tasmania. Unirrigated, hand tended, picked & pruned, where the focus is on maximum concentration not maximum yield

Established in 1987, the winery produces a range of dry, European style table wines wines. They make 7 different varietal wines (4 red and 3 white) and 3 different blends (2 red & 1 white) with 17 different varieties which include aglianico, cabernet franc, chardonnay, lagrein, malbec, malvasia, merlot, petit verdot, pinot blanc pinot gris, pinot noir, shiraz, tannat, touriga and viognier. Each year, approximately 1000 cases are produced. Grey Sands welcomes visitors to the winery and to taste the wines on offer by appointment only. They also have 1.5 hectares of garden for you to explore or enjoy a BYO picnic in, to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
