Description

Heatherton Park Clayton, also known as Monster Park or Troll Park, is a playground with a troll theme that caters to children of all ages.

It offers an extensive range of play structures where kids can engage in imaginative play. The playground is not fenced, but it is in a cul-de-sac. Parents can feel comfortable that their children can play in the simple and safe environment with the caution of being aware of the large trolls that dominate the space.

The most notable feature of Heatherton Park Clayton is the large wooden sculptures of three enormous trolls near the entrance. The park offers a range of play structures designed to promote imaginative play. There are springers, swings, monkey bars, multi-slides, suspended thick rope seat Viking swing, spinning cups or spinners that a child can hold, and huge bouncy rubber drums. The middle area has a standalone flying fox with monkey bars, while the other end has two big wooden structures with wave slides, climbing walls, ladder, rope walkway, fireman's pole, distorting mirror, binoculars, rigid horizontal balance beam, ladder with curved rungs and steps.

The playground at Heatherton Park Clayton is open all year round. The best time to go is when weather is not too hot when children can enjoy the playground for long. During hotter days, playground visitors tend to lessen.

Heatherton Park Clayton is located at 1 Ireland Road, Clayton South 3169. Off-street parking is free.
