Heathmont Bowls Club is a lawn bowls club located in the outer Eastern Melbourne suburb of Heathmont, adjacent to HE Parker Reserve and the Dandenong Creek Trail. The club was founded in 1957 and is affiliated with Bowls Victoria, playing in the Eastern Ranges bowls region. The establishment of the club was conceived by Jim O'Brien, Jack Egan, and Clarrie Beard J.P., who met regularly at Daisy's Ringwood East Hotel. On 18 June 1957, a meeting took place at Jim O'Brien's home, and a committee of six members was formed from the 56 foundation members. Heathmont Bowls Club offers three of the best bowling greens in the area, with wonderful views of the Dandenong Ranges. The club's original objectives were to provide bowling greens, tennis courts, squash courts, table tennis, billiards, darts, angling, and other sporting activities. The club has a popular bar and functions venue, offering a range of drinks and cuisine. Heathmont Bowls Club is a popular venue for meetings and events. The club has a chairman, Stephen Dare, and its colors are blue and yellow. The Maroondah City Council acknowledges and respects the club's unique ability to care for Country and their deep spiritual connection to it, paying respects to their Elders, past, present, and emerging.
