Hippo Lodge Backpackers

Hippo Lodge Backpackers is a humble hostel located in Queenstown, New Zealand.

It is situated on the side of a hill, just 500 meters from Skyline Gondola and Luge, and within a 10-minute walk from the popular bars and restaurants of Queenstown. The hostel is composed of three houses: The Top House, Bottom House, and White House. The Top House has the best views but requires a few steps to the front door. The Bottom House is easily accessible and houses the larger dorm rooms and a double room. The White House has a large bathroom, a lounge, and a fully equipped kitchen.

Hippo Lodge Backpackers offers a mix of shared and private accommodation, with all rooms featuring views of the mountain, lake, or garden. The hostel provides fully equipped communal kitchens and lounges, several bathrooms, a large dining and lounge area, and laundry facilities. It also has a storage room for excess luggage and serves as a drying room for ski/snowboard gear. Limited on-site parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guests receive a limited free wifi voucher for each day of their stay, with up to 500 MB of free WiFi available per day, per person. The hostel also offers bike and car rentals.
