Description
Hotel Palisade is a heritage-listed hotel located at 35-37 Bettington Street, Millers Point, in the City of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
The hotel was designed by H. D. Walsh and built in 1915-16. It is a state heritage building and was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. The hotel is privately owned and features colourful rooms in a trendy setting with a vibrant pub and a slick cocktail lounge with harbour views. The hotel has a rooftop terrace and a rooftop bar, both of which offer stunning views of Sydney Harbour Bridge and Barangaroo Reserve. The Deluxe Rooms on levels two and three are spacious and filled with natural light, offering sophisticated comfort and stunning views. The hotel also has a ground-floor Public House, which is an atmospheric, refurbished pub that offers tasty food in divinely distressed surroundings. Hotel Palisade is known for its come-hither drinking and dining dens, and its interiors are designed by Sydney stylist Sibella Court. The hotel has a quirky, tall, skinny, late-1800s building that stands alone atop Millers Point beyond The Rocks, and its design would make film director Wes Anderson feel at home. The hotel attracts a design-savvy, fashionable crowd.
