Description
IOTA24 Codes in Parallel is an exhibition of contemporary large-scale hanging textile artworks.
The exhibition is in response to the idea of sustainability across not only the environment and its flora and fauna but also the sustainability of communities and traditions. It includes artworks from Australia, India, Indonesia and Malaysia. The artists re-purpose found materials as textile/sculptural form; use ancient techniques to express issues of contemporary concern; engage with communities, sustaining their work and traditions of art making and; observe the land as a way to understand change.
Artists include; Nyukana Baker, Maggie Baxter, Morii Design, Yipati Kuyata, Lawrence Leslie, Lisa Mori, Dias Prabu and Yim Yen Sum
