Description
Jane Duff Reserve is a 26-hectare roadside reserve located 20 kilometers west of Natimuk, Victoria, Australia.
It is a remnant of native vegetation and offers a range of recreational activities, making it a popular free camping area near Mount Arapiles. The reserve has picnic facilities and visitors can learn about Jane Duff, one of the three Duff children who got lost in the area in 1854. Nearby, visitors can explore Mitre Rock, a sacred Aboriginal site surrounded by a small reserve. The reserve and surrounding areas are home to diverse plant and animal life, with spring being the best time to see wildflowers. Two walking trails lead to the summit of Mount Arapiles, providing stunning views. Visitors can reach the reserve by driving west on Goroke Road from Natimuk or by taking a bus or train to Natimuk and renting a car. The reserve is easily accessible from the roadside.
