Kalorama Park is a picturesque park located in Kalorama, Victoria.
It is known for its stunning views of the Silvan Reservoir and the Dandenong Ranges, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing picnic or a family/group gathering.
One of the highlights of Kalorama Park is the picnic area below the lower carpark, surrounded by garden beds with various trees and plants. There are two gas barbecues under the picnic shelter for visitors to use. Aside from the picnic area, visitors can also explore the park's walking tracks, which offer a stroll through native forest, historical fruit orchards, and exotic plantings.
Kalorama Park is open all year round, with different seasons bringing different highlights. Summer allows for a refreshing dip in the Silvan Reservoir, autumn showcases the park's changing colors, winter offers frosty landscapes, and spring brings blooming flowers and fresh greenery.
To get to Kalorama Park, visitors can take the Mount Dandenong Tourist Road exit from the Maroondah Highway. There are three carparks available. The park is also accessible by public transport, with buses stopping near the entrance. Visitors should also be bushfire-ready, especially during dry seasons newline.
