Our Cellar Door is located at our Sophie’s Hill vineyard in the Adelaide Hills, 45 minutes from the Adelaide CBD, and is open 7 days a week, 11am until 4pm.

Taste wines from our three contrasting vineyards in the Adelaide Hills, Langhorne Creek and McLaren Vale, or relax on the lawns with a glass or a bottle of wine and a cheese and charcuterie board.

At a local South Australian pub, a coin was flipped and it landed on tails, meaning Mark’s great, great, great grandfather, Joseph Gilbert, lost the bet and had to change his property name from ‘Karrawatta’ to ‘Pewsey Vale’. Joseph Gilbert made his first wine in 1847. Since then, the Gilbert family has continued to produce wine grapes and we are excited to reignite Karrawatta with a single vineyard, small batch wines.
