Description

Kattang Nature Reserve is a protected nature reserve located in Mid North Coast, New South Wales, Australia.

It spans across 68 hectares and is situated near Laurieton, Port Macquarie, and the Pacific Highway.

The reserve boasts diverse vegetation communities, including exposed headlands, dry eucalyptus woodland, and wet and dry heathland. It also contains two small littoral rainforest patches that are similar to those found in Sea Acres National Park. One of the highlights of Kattang Nature Reserve is Perpendicular Point, where cliffs drop dramatically 40 meters to the sea below. The reserve is a popular destination for bushwalking and hiking, particularly during late winter and early spring when the wildflowers are in full bloom.
