Killen Falls

Killen Falls Tintenbar is a photogenic waterfall located in the Big Scrub rainforest, which is now only one percent of its former size.

It is easily accessible from Ballina, just a 20-minute drive away.

Upon arrival, visitors can take a pleasant 330m walk through the lush forest to reach the top of the waterfall. From this vantage point, they can enjoy a bird's eye view of the falls and the pool, and take fantastic pictures.

For a different perspective, visitors can walk down a sometimes slippery trail to the bottom of the falls. Here, they can look up at the falling water and potentially spot turtles, birds, and other wildlife.

Another option is to explore the cave located at the back of the waterfalls, providing a unique angle to view the falls.

Killen Falls Tintenbar is open year-round, but the best time to visit is during the wet season when the falls are at their most impressive.
