Koala Reserve Narrandera is a must-visit destination for nature and wildlife lovers.
Located in the Murrumbidgee Valley Nature Reserve, this reserve is home to a healthy population of koalas. Visitors can enjoy a unique experience of seeing the iconic Australian animal in the wild. The reserve is home to well over 200 koalas, making it a great spot for koala spotting. Koalas can be seen in the branches overhanging the Murrumbidgee River, which runs through the reserve. Visitors can also have a picnic on the grass or at the picnic tables near the river.
The best time to visit Koala Reserve Narrandera is during the summer months, between December and February. During these months, koalas can be spotted more frequently as they come out of the trees in search of cooler locations.
To get to Koala Reserve Narrandera, take the Kidman Way from the town of Narrandera and turn onto Gillenbah Road, which leads to the reserve. The reserve is open from sunrise to sunset daily, making it easy to visit at any time.
