Lake Alford Park

Located at the southern entry into Gympie, Australia, Lake Alford Park offers visitors of all ages a wide range of activities and facilities to enjoy.

The park has excellent facilities, including an all-abilities playground that is perfect for children of all ages. One of the most prominent attractions in Lake Alford Park is its beautiful pond surrounded by a winding path, making it an ideal location for a leisurely bike or scooter ride. Visitors can also catch the incredible bird life thriving in the pond, including several duck varieties and even turtles. Visitors can enjoy a picnic by using the park's uncovered BBQs and tables. On the first, third, and fifth Sundays of the month, adjacent to the park, there's a market with lots of fresh local produce for sale. The park is situated next door to the Gympie Gold Mining Museum, making it an ideal spot to visit if you're interested in Gympie's gold mining history. The park is easily accessible via the Bruce Highway heading through Gympie.
