Description
Lake Moodemere Estate is a unique Australian wine destination located in Norong, Victoria, near Wahgunyah on the Murray River.
It is North East Victoria's first and only Certified Sustainable Vineyard, and one of Australia's Top 50 Vineyards. The estate is immersed in history, with the lake being host to the Lake Moodemere rowing regatta each year in January, which is the oldest continually run regatta in Australia with the first event held in 1863. The broad deck and living area of the Lake House provide absolute views of the lake, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery. The estate offers a restaurant that creatively prepares very good food. The cuisine is made from locally sourced ingredients, and the menu changes seasonally. The restaurant offers a range of dishes, including vegetarian and gluten-free options. The estate also offers wine tastings, where visitors can sample the estate's wines, including the award-winning Durif, Shiraz, and Muscat. Lake Moodemere Estate offers accommodation in the form of a Lake House, which is a self-contained house that can accommodate up to six people. The Lake House has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a living area with a fireplace. The house also has a large deck with outdoor furniture, a BBQ, and stunning views of the lake.
