Leaning Tree Lagoon Nature Park is an idyllic natural location, located 90 kilometres east of Darwin, off the Arnhem Highway.

The tranquil crystal-clear waters of the lagoon are home to numerous Green Pygmy Geese, along with other unique species of native wildlife such as magpie geese, brolgas, and ducks. The lagoon connects with other waterways in the Adelaide River floodplain during the wet season. Whereas, during the dry season, the lagoon is isolated, making it a preferred destination for a vast number of wetland fauna. Remember to bring your binoculars to capture the stunning view of various wildlife species.
It is important to note that Leaning Tree Lagoon is an area at risk for crocodile encounters. Adelaide River Coastal Floodplain which is home to Leaning Tree Lagoon has the highest density of saltwater crocodiles in the world.
