Description

Long Angle Road Fire Trail is a moderate trail perfect for hiking, mountain biking, running, and dog walking.

It is a 12.1-kilometer out-and-back trail near Yellow Rock, New South Wales. The trail begins and ends at the end of Long Angle Road, close to the town of Winmalee. It takes an average time of 2 hours and 51 minutes to complete and is open all year round.

As you start the trail, you will gradually descend down the side of the slope, ending at Long Angle Creek. From there, you will follow the creek while moving uphill slowly. Veer towards the left to follow the Sun Valley Fire Trail along Fitzgerald Creek to reach the turnaround point of the trail - Sun Valley. The trail is in good condition and offers beautiful scenery along the way.

It is advisable to check the weather forecast before heading out on this trail, as it is an outdoor trail. The trail is open all year round, and each season has unique features, such as spring flowers, colorful autumn leaves, or glistening winter snowdrops. Plan your start time accordingly to make the most out of your adventure.

To get to Long Angle Road Fire Trail, follow the Great Western Highway towards the town of Springwood. Turn right onto Hawkesbury Road, then left onto Singles Ridge Road, followed by another left onto Rickards Fire trail. Follow the road to Long Angle Road, where you'll start your trail.

This trail is open to hikers, runners, and mountain bikers. It can be moderately challenging at times, so it is best to wear sturdy shoes or trail boots. Carry enough water and snacks for the duration of the hike and wear waterproof boots as some areas of the trail might
